1. Purpose and Basis for Allocation of Grant Decision:

a) A demonstrated need or value to the Jewish Community of Windsor for the project.
Preference will be given to programs or projects that strengthen Jewish identity and
continuity.
b) There should be measurable objectives for the project, where possible. The results
should be evaluated with a final report written and submitted to the JCEFW.
c) The funds are allocated to groups or organizations in Windsor that engage in
charitable, religious, or educational purposes. An individual may receive funding for
a project or program that serves charitable, religious, or educational purposes.
d) The JCEFW prefers to provide money to initiate new programs in the community.
Preference will be given to programs that can become self-sustaining. The JCEFW
may choose to fund existing projects and programs.
e) Grants are typically up to $3,000.
f) Requests for Capital Projects do not qualify for eligibility.

2. Information Required About the Project:

a) A statement of objectives and the perceived benefits to the community.
b) A description of the targeted population, and how many people will be positively
impacted.
c) A budget including sources of funding, anticipated revenues and their sources, and
projected expenses.
d) A description of how you will know the completed project will be considered
successful.
e) A timetable for the project, including the events to occur, and the completion date.

3. Release of Funds

a) Funds will be released upon the review of the Report at the JCEFW’s Board
Meeting. Meetings are generally held four (4) times a year.
b) On an exception basis, funds may be released prior to an event if requested and
approved.

4. Submission Deadlines

a) Please submit your application by February 1st , April 21st , June 15th or
September 15th
